About us

Fairley's Shoe Store started out as a small shoe repairing business in Blackwood in 1927. In those days Joe Fairley would repair shoes in a small tin shed, just down from the store at Blackwood.

Seeing the need to evolve and expand the business, Joe and his brother George opened a shoe repairing and retail store at a bigger location in Blackwood. This store is still located at the same location today.

When Joe Fairley retired, Len Henschke who used to call on the store when he was a shoe representative, decided to purchase Joe's share of the business. Len and George worked together in expanding the retail range and moved on from the repairing business. 

George Fairley retired in the late 70's and his son Bill Fairley took over his side of the business. Bill and Len were keen to add new stores, opening two more locations at Stirling and Mount Barker. 

Currently Bill's son, Scott and Len's daughter, Natalie are managing the business. They have continued on with the family tradition, with the business now expanding 3 generations.

Fairley's Shoex stock a wide range of products. We specialise in Ladies and Men's fashion and comfort footwear, Kids fashion and school shoes and sports shoes for the whole family.

We are continually changing and adapting our range of products to keep up with the latest styles and trends. Our motto is 'Fit, Fashion and Comfort'.

With three great locations at Blackwood, Stirling and Mount Barker, Fairley's has continued to offer great service, advice, knowledge and variety of products.
